| January - December |
Regular Workdays for Habitat Restoration
are the 2nd Saturday and last Sunday of every month.
In addition, we also arrange special planting/weeding days
for specific groups, such as boy scouts, schoolchildren, local
businesses, and the community. Our goals are to replace the most
invasive species, like thistles and pepperweed, with native plants
to improve the habitats for wildlife. We usually meet at Kiosk #1, just inside the gate of Shollenberger Park. In the winter months, we plant and/or weed 9:00 to Noon; in the summer months, we water and/or weed 8:00 to 11:00 AM. Rain cancels. These restoration days are open to all, and we encourage you to join us. For more information or to add your name to our list of restoration volunteers, contact Mary Edith at maryedithmoore@comcast.net or 707-763-3577. |
